We are therefore looking for professionals to join our ever expanding Transportation team here in our Cleveland, Ohio office. We are currently looking for a Structural Engineer with experience in the transportation industry. The successful candidate is required to have a good understanding of structural engineering principles and practices and general knowledge of ODOT design requirements.  The candidate will be responsible for structural design tasks on a variety of projects. This work will include preliminary engineering, final engineering, plan production, construction staging, quantity calculations, estimates, and other related engineering duties. It will also include design oversight and direction of the junior design and CAD staff assigned to the task. The successful candidate should possess a thorough knowledge of engineering software such as MDX, LEAP Bridge (ConSpan & RCPier), LARSA, and MathCad. A working knowledge of Microstation or AutoCAD is also required.

In addition, the successful candidate should enjoy working in a team environment as well as independently. Field work may also be required.

Requirements: 

The selected candidate is expected to have a minimum of 6 years of progressively responsible structural engineering experience regarding the development and preparation of preliminary and final bridge engineering plans and contract documents.

This engineering position requires a B.S.C.E., M.S.C.E. preferred, from an accredited University or College.  PE registration in the State of Ohio is required.  The selected candidate should be able to work in the United States immediately.

·         I-69 in Indiana - Bridge Design for Segments 7 & 8

·         Cleveland -Innerbelt IQF

·         Brent Spence Bridge

Job Responsibilities:

§               Performing structural analysis, design, and plan preparation for bridges and/or transportation structures

§               Ability to perform bridge inspections, assessments and preparation of reports

§               Client interface and project coordination

§               Coordinate work with other disciplines in a professional manner

Requirements: 

The candidate must have these basic qualifications/requirements:

§               MS in Civil/Structural Engineering required 

§               EIT certification required

§               One (1) year+ experience in design of bridges and transportation structures

§               Working knowledge of CADD

§               Ability to work in this country immediately is required

 

Preferred Qualifications:

§               Working knowledge and use of MicroStation and MathCad

§               Working knowledge of the basic structural design applications and programs

§               Good communication and organizational skills

§               Ability to interact and work effectively and productively
